The Montana Gravel Challenge is back for 2021. Most of the race information can be found on the official Gravel Challenge Website. Three early season stages, all based in the 6 and 9 mile valleys just outside of Missoula near Huson, MT. Bjorn and Big Sky Brewery will be our hosts and base camp for the early season challenge.
Friday April 30th – 9 Mile Time Trial – A Friday eve delight. Out and back gravel only, slight rise on the way out and slight decline on the way home, around 20 miles total.
Saturday May 1st – Old Roubaix Circuit. This lapped style course starts and finishes at race hq. Plan on 2-3 hours of racing.
Sunday May 2nd – Southside Road. Back again this course will be nice on a rainy Sunday. Ride Mullan Road pavement out to Southside Road and ride the iconic gravel two track back to the start. Plan on 3-5 hours of racing.
The group stages will have one aid station per route where you can refill on water and some snacks. All aid stations are run by MTB Missoula and The Cycling House. You know what the means….pickles, parties, and beef jerky.
